Ephesians 1

Welcome!!! 

For the course of this journey, I'll be quoting from "The Passion translation", except stated otherwise. Grab a chair, a cup of coffee, your notepad and your Bible. Let's journey together. 

I’m writing this letter to all the devoted believers who have been made holy by being one with Jesus, the Anointed One. May God himself, the heavenly Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, release grace over you and impart total well-being into your lives.

Ephesians 1:2 

 I said earlier in my previous post , that this letter or epistle was written to "New creation believers" and here in verse 2, we see Paul addressing them. ( I'll like you to follow this course with you in mind, not the Ephesian church in mind). 

Here ( vs2) we see that there's grace released over us already to impart total well-being into our lives. 

Every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realm has already been lavished upon us as a love gift from our wonderful heavenly Father, the Father of our Lord Jesus—all because he sees us wrapped into Christ. This is why we celebrate him with all our hearts! And he chose us to be his very own, joining us to himself even before he laid the foundation of the universe! Because of his great love, he ordained us, so that we would be seen as holy in his eyes with an unstained innocence.

Ephesians 1:3‭-‬4

You need to see my face as I wrote this, I'm full of smiles just knowing that "Every spiritual blessing has been given to me already", it doesn't matter what anyone thinks or does, it's mine. My right to claim.  He doesn't just see me as "Oluwatolope", he doesn't just see you as "Insert your name " he sees you all wrapped up into Christ ( Hallelujah).

Since we are now joined to Christ, we have been given the treasures of redemption by his blood—the total cancellation of our sins—all because of the cascading riches of his grace. This superabundant grace is already powerfully working in us, releasing within us all forms of wisdom and practical understanding.

Ephesians 1:7‭-‬8 

You might have lingered so long in that thoughts, thinking to yourself you might never find mercy or pardon from Christ, your conscience must have condemned you into thinking you might never find redemption and you're the worst of us all. Here's God's saying to you "You have been given the treasures of redemption by his blood",  not just redemption, but the total cancellation of your sins. I didn't call you a righteous guy or lady, God did. He said he's cancelled your sins totally, and not only did he cancel it, Ehhhhh!!!  (You need to see me shouting here) His superabundant grace is working powerfully within you. It's not just working, it's working powerfully. You're wise because of this power, you understand spiritual things because of this power. 

Through our union with Christ we too have been claimed by God as his own inheritance. Before we were even born, he gave us our destiny; that we would fulfill the plan of God who always accomplishes every purpose and plan in his heart.

Ephesians 1:11 

I want you to understand that nothing you ever do can make God claim you and nothing you ever do will make him despise you. It's not about you, it's about HIM, he says you've been claimed as his inheritance before you were born, it's not "You dependant", it's "Him fully sponsored and executed " Your destiny is "Him given", the fulfillment is "Him assisted". 

And because of him, when you who are not Jews heard the revelation of truth, you believed in the wonderful news of salvation. Now we have been stamped with the seal of the promised Holy Spirit. He is given to us like an engagement ring is given to a bride, as the first installment of what’s coming! He is our hope-promise of a future inheritance which seals us until we have all of redemption’s promises and experience complete freedom—all for the supreme glory and honor of God!

Ephesians 1:13‭-‬14 TPT

"The Holy Spirit!!! The Holy Spirit!!!". The Holy Spirit was a seal stamped in you when you got saved. That's not the end, there's more to come, but a promise had to be made, he became a first installment of what's was coming (In full measure).

 He's our hope of a future inheritance. You know as humans, we all want assurance at one point or the other, so God being God knew that we wanted assurance that we were not left alone on our own, so he gave us the Holy Spirit as an assurance of a lifetime of intimacy with him.

The Holy Spirit is God’s amazing unending gift to you. A key to unlock your great inheritance in God

PAUL PRAYS!!!! 

I pray that the Father of glory, the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, would impart to you the riches of the Spirit of wisdom and the Spirit of revelation to know him through your deepening intimacy with him.

Ephesians 1:17 

That I am impacted with the riches of the Spirit of wisdom and the Spirit of revelation to know him, but there's a condition to the knowing. It has to be through an intentional deepening intimacy with him. The knowledge of Jesus Christ wouldn't jump on you, it can't be impacted and definitely, it can't be transferred. You'll have to labour in the place of deepening your relationship and intimacy with God through the help of the Holy Spirit.

I pray that the light of God will illuminate the eyes of your imagination, flooding you with light, until you experience the full revelation of the hope of his calling—that is, the wealth of God’s glorious inheritances that he finds in us, his holy ones! I pray that you will continually experience the immeasurable greatness of God’s power made available to you through faith. Then your lives will be an advertisement of this immense power as it works through you! This is the mighty power

Ephesians 1:18‭-‬19 

Light is everything and more, it brings sight, that your eyes of imagination is flooded with God's light, and that light will bring a full revelation

Of his calling, that you know exactly the glorious inheritance that he finds in you- his beloved causing him to continuously chase after you. 

For the scale will be removed from your eye, resetting your spiritual eyes and sight to see deep through the rays of His light set upon you to see the fullness of Height in God, His great hope of glory and calling, to see the great love of salvation”

That your life become a advertisement of his immense power as it works through you!! That you're a true representative of him. You market his power, as it find its workings through you!!! 

And now he is exalted as first above every ruler, authority, government, and realm of power in existence! He is gloriously enthroned over every name that is ever praised, not only in this age, but in the age that is coming!

Ephesians 1:21 

No matter what anyone says or thinks, the name of Jesus is exalted above every thing. He's gloriously enthroned over and above all, including that situation you're facing, why don't you apply the name? 

And he alone is the leader and source of everything needed in the church. God has put everything beneath the authority of Jesus Christ and has given him the highest rank above all others . And now we, his church, are his body on the earth and that which fills him who is being filled by it!

Ephesians 1:22‭-‬23 TPT

Jesus Christ is the leader and source of everything needed in the church, and we his church are his  body here on earth. We are the body of Christ, we all together in unison forms the body. We are the fullness of him. We carry him everywhere we go. Hallelujah 💃💃💃💃💃

I hope you are blessed and informed of who you're (Wrapped up into Christ and the fullness of Christ) and that he wants you to advertise his power as it works in and through you.
