It's with immerse joy in my heart that I announce that for the next couple of days or more, we'd be having a walk together through the book of Ephesians.  The reason for this walk will become clearer as we progress as we trust the Holy Spirit to walk with us  Moreover, what better time could we spend studying the book of Ephesians than now? Early one Saturday morning , after our usual morning devotion, my dad loves to watch the early morning news, because according to him, it's undiluted (Let's cut the old man some slack, but I honestly don't understand diluted and undiluted news). we immediately switched on the television to watch the news, but along the line as we searched for the news station, the person with the remote mistakenly or deliberately, tuned in to the famous NATGEO WILD (For those that don't know, this t.v station airs animal documentary).  As soon as he tuned it to this station, I got glued to my position as my eyes was fixed on the t. v screen. Mr O,  as fondly called by friends and neighbor was a hardworking and zealous man. At age 40 he retired from active service and started overseeing his company. He was a Christian and a good one at that. He was loved by many due to his warming and welcoming character. I remember a time he opened his home to strangers who had come from a very far place and had nowhere to lay their head. I was astonished at his behavior because none of us in the community knew this people from anywhere. Well,  this was just how he was. After his 50th birthday, Mr O took ill, it began with a mild fever that he waved aside as a little sickness, it escalated to stroke and before we knew it, Mr O was completely paralyzed. Wow, what a drastic and sad change. Mr O was taken from one hospital to another,  but without any positive change. I got to a friend's place sometimes ago, and I met the family playing Ludo game, I was invited to play and I consented to it, so my sister and I (We were together) joined the game. If you are famous with the Ludo game, you know your game only begins after you must have gotten a 6 ( A tutorial for another day). Well, every other person in that game had began his/her game except me, I was scared and worried. A little intro of me, I have fear of playing games (Ludophobia) especially with outsiders. After about 3 rounds, the game still had not begun for me, I did the only thing I could think of, I quit. Do you know that you're a product of what you continually give yourself too?  I recently observed a lady's behavior for a year or more and saw how drastic her change was. I saw her change from a friend to a stranger in the matters of months and I was dumbfounded, surprised and a little dissapointed to be very honest. As a  very curious person that I am,  I decided to contribute my own quota to the FBI (if you know, you know), so I did some digging about what caused the change and trust me to always get answers to my search, I discovered that she has given herself to things that caused the change ( In plain English, she has been watching, listening and following a negative path) Let me use a very relatable example, if you give yourself to pizza, shawama, meat pie, sausage and every other junk known to mankind for a month, you need no soothsayer to tell you that you'll reap for yourself fats (With a whole lot of 's' behind it ). I remember the first time I saw the word "impregnability" and I thought to myself, "ah it must mean being pregnant" until I looked it up in the dictionary and realized it actually meant " too strong to be penetrated" or "Strong walls". Too many a times, we are quick to make hasty conclusions about people or situations without looking deeper and intensely. We are quick to jump into conclusions as some may call it. While I am not here go cast any stone as I have taken vacation from judging (That's a joke), I am here to ask you how many times you made hasty conclusions about yourself without finding out what you are capable of? Agbalumo (Africa star apple): as fondly called in my dialect is a popular fruit in my country and is loved by many. The intriguing thing about this fruit is people's love for the seed, as there are a whole lot of people that buys this fruit because of its seed.You even see some folks begging for seed (This table Ehn). I was returning home one afternoon from an outing happily licking my fruit, when I got to the seed part and then my excitement skyrocketed from an 100% to 200%, I was legit grinning. What was going on? I had no answer to that.   While enjoying my tasty "Agbalumo" and thinking at the same time, the Holy Spirit asked "What kind of seed are you"?  Are you an orange seed or an Agbalumo seed? ( forgive my choice of analogy, but anyone who has ever chewed an orange seed accidentally will understand this).Remember the bible says "By their fruits, ye shall know them". LET GO Ever seen a man in a vehicle and still has a backpack strapped to his back. Have you ever held something so dear (Including hurting past ), refusing to let go even when the situation to do so arise? ( Some call it emotional attachment)  Why you may think it's difficult to do so is simply because you've not experienced the blessedness of letting go. For instance,  the man with the backpack in the vehicle is ignorant of the fact that there's space for his backpack.   We've heard too many quotes on not letting go and not giving up that we've forgotten that we can't receive more that we handle The new blessing won't come if we don't let go of the challenges. I'M LONG OVER DUE I've been pregnant with this child for over a year and it has bluntly refused to be born. I tried every possible means I knew but it refused to come forth. Perplexed and frustrated, I wondered "why isn't this coming forth?" It was then it dawned on me that  I wasn't intentional about the birthing, I wasn't giving it the necessary attention it deserved and I allowed fear put me in a box. I was trapped in the thoughts of my fears "Do I have the strength to bear this child?" I would often speak.
